Mortgage Net Branch Alabama
If you live in the State of Alabama, you may have heard the term “mortgage net branch” but are not quite sure what it means. Simply put, a mortgage net branch in Alabama is an “offshoot” of a larger mortgage company, just like a tree branch leads out of a main tree trunk.
In other words, a larger lending company hires a person to start the mortgage loan process. This is called loan origination. During this process, mortgage applications are reviewed and the applicants are then informed as to how much their mortgage interest will be.
The larger mortgage company may advertise that a net branch opportunity is available in Alabama. From there, they may allow employees already working for the company to move to the new AL net branch, or they may allow “outsiders” to apply for the job.
Sometimes, however, a person with mortgage loan experience (a minimum of one year is required in order to operate and work in a net branch) will approach the larger company with the idea of or request to open a new mortgage net branch in Alabama. If the company accepts the idea or request, the person is, once again, considered an employee of the larger company, but his job is to operate the net branch.
No matter who works in the net branch in AL, that branch still operates under the auspices or “umbrella” of the larger mortgage company. The employees simply work in the area of originating the mortgage loans that come into the company. However, this can provide benefits both for the net branch employees as well as the larger lending company itself.
